On April 10, 1996, I made the decision to end my life.
I was 23 years old, drowning in a sea of darkness, feeling like my dreams weren’t just buried—they were dead. Months of numbing my pain with pills and alcohol left me lost, alone, and utterly hopeless. I had no idea what the purpose of my life was, or if there even was one.
I picked up two razor blades, one for each wrist, and wrote my goodbye note. Before going through with it, I called a friend. She didn’t try to fix it or give me a pep talk. She just asked, “Can you give me one more day?” Something about the simplicity of that question made me pause, and I agreed. Just one more day. Besides, I could just go through with it tomorrow. And that’s when everything changed.
On April 11, 1996, I woke up.
Really woke up. It was as if the darkness that had clouded my life had lifted, and for the first time, I saw color. The world around me wasn’t a shadow anymore—it was alive. It was like I could hear the wind whispering through every leaf, and everything around me seemed to pulse with vibrant color. For the first time, I took a breath that wasn’t weighed down—it felt light, filled with hope. It felt like possibility.
I believe something much bigger than me stepped in that day. And it planted a seed. A purpose. A calling.
That purpose wasn’t clear to me right away, but it grew stronger with each passing year. I started to see that my life wasn’t meant to end—it was meant to help others see what they couldn’t, to illuminate the dark corners of their lives, where insecurities, doubts, and fears keep them anchored. I would show them how to cut those anchors loose and set sail toward the dreams they thought were lost.
Over the years, I threw myself into every opportunity to learn, grow, and serve. I sat with people in the darkest moments of their lives—homeless, imprisoned, or trapped in cycles they couldn’t break. I listened to their stories, offered hope, and learned from them too. Through every experience, I grew as a leader and communicator, always with one goal in mind: helping others rescue their dreams.
My journey didn’t stop with serving individuals. I began leading organizations, sitting on boards, coaching teams, and speaking to audiences about unlocking potential and transforming reality. Every step of the way, I knew my purpose was to pull out the very best in people and help them see their own untapped greatness.
After becoming a Leadership Coaching Specialist (LCS), I realized something profound. The leadership tools I was using to help executives and business teams could be just as powerful in people’s personal lives. These principles weren’t limited to boardrooms or teams; they were tools for self-leadership, for building the life you’ve always wanted but didn’t know how to achieve.
I learned that whether you're leading a business, a team, or just trying to lead your own life with purpose and confidence, the core tools are the same. It’s all about awareness, resilience, and the courage to step into your power.
Today, my mission is to help people—from corporate leaders to everyday dreamers—find that courage and take control of their stories. Because I believe your dreams aren’t running from you; they’re waiting. But they’re suffocating under the weight of doubt, insecurity, and fear. And they need rescuing.
If you’re ready to transform your reality—whether it’s at work, at home, or deep within yourself—I’m here.
